Found this in a supermarket in the Bridesburg/Port Richmond section of Northeast Philadelphia. The heading on the label reads "Montana's Legendary Soda", but the bottler appears to be North American Beverage Company of Ocean City, NJ (under license from Flathead Lake Monster, Inc. of course) so that explains it being so far from home! I've always liked black raspberry flavored items (like ice cream!) so I was anxious to try this out.
Unfortunately, it tastes more like grape soda than black raspberry. While I love me some grape soda, it just wasn't what I was expecting out of this. I will say that the sweetness is just right for a fruit soda (not too strong as it usually is), tempered with a slight sourness. So it's not that bad, it just isn't black raspberry.
Sweetened With: "high fructose corn syrup"
Verdict: worth trying at least once
