Found this drink at a corner store in Northeast Philadelphia. Kinda odd since it is "BOTTLED UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF REFRESCOS NACIONAL. DISTRIBUTED BY NORTH SHORE BOTTLING CO., BROOKLYN, NY." And Northeast Philly isn't exactly a stones throw away from Brooklyn! Still, it was nice to see something rare and different in the neighborhood where I work, and glass bottled no less!
Despite the drink being almost completely artificial from the flavorings to the sweetener, this is a pretty good grape soda! Not too sweet, not too syrupy--so it doesn't taste like a liquefied, carbonated lollipop. It does feature "TRIPLE FILTERED CARBONATED WATER" so maybe that helped out in flavor. I'd definitely take this over any of the Big Boys' grape sodas (Welch's, Fanta, Minute Maid, etc.)
Sweetened With: "high fructose corn syrup"
Verdict: worth a bottle or two
