A British friend of mine suggested I review this flavor of soda, Dandelion and Burdock. When I first heard of it, I thought it was an odd sounding beverage. With the title featuring two roots, I figured this might be along the lines of a Sarasaparilla, Root or Birch Beer. I was intrigued to say the least, but since it's a British soft drink it's kind of hard to come by here in the US. Luckily though, Fentimans here in the US makes the drink, and a different friend of mine found a bar in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties district that sold it.
As for taste, it's definitely different. It's kind of fruity and earthy with some bite (not surprising having flowery dandelion and earthen burdock root.) It even has a little bit of a beer or fermented aftertaste. The label says it has ginger, but I can barely taste it. All in all, I do like it. Just wish I could find other brands to compare it to.
