Frostie Root Beer

Frostie Root Beer

Found this brand in a Giant Eagle supermarket in Pittsburgh, PA. Had never heard of Frostie before, so I grabbed this, their Root Beer, and a few of their other varieties that I'll get to in the future. Odd that this is available in Western PA when the label reads "FROSTIE IS A REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF LEADING EDGE BRANDS, INC., TEMPLE TX 76504."

As far as taste goes. Hmmm . . . bite! Quite a bit of it too. Not too sweet. Rooty. Actually it tastes kind of like a Birch Beer too, kind of like how Crystal Club's Root Beer does. Unfortunately, the ingredients simply say "Natural and Artificial flavors" so no telling if they put any wintergreen or birch in there. Pretty good. It's just that the flavor doesn't seem to linger like a root beer should. Still, I would pick this over the big boys anyday.

Sweetened With: "high fructose corn syrup"

Verdict: Worth a bottle or two
