Bedessee's West Indian Queen Sorrel Drink

Bedessee's West Indian Queen Sorrel Drink

Now I got this at the same supermarket that had that Champagne Kola, but I had never run across this flavor before. Had to look it up. Turns out that the red sorrel plant is used to make a beverage in Jamaica where rum and or wine is added to the mix some times. Well, I'm sure this doesn't have any spirits in it, but still, had no idea what to expect going into this one since I had no idea how a sorrel would taste!

It's definitely different to say the least. Very flowery and slightly herbal. Kind of like a sweet, carbonated, herbal tea. I can definitely taste some ginger in there too. Just like the Champagne Kola, not sure if I like it, but I definitely don't hate it!

Sweetened With: "sugar and/or high fructose corn syrup"

Verdict: Worth trying at least once
