Well, this is a first: a reddish-orange Ginger Beer! Normally I'm used to a cloudy green or yellow color or even a more clear golden color for my ginger beers, so this is definitely weird to me. Especially since the ingredients list "YELLOW #5, RED #40" so the coloring is deliberate rather than natural! The flavoring, however, is listed as both natural and artificial (as well as being sweetened with "PURE CANE SUGAR") so I held out hope that this tasted better than it looked.
Definitely tastes like ginger beer. Spicy, bitey, good sweetness. Only downer to me is that the ginger flavor isn't quite as deep as those really good ginger beers. What I mean is, what I'm used to with ginger beers is the ginger flavor usually goes right up your sinuses and lingers there. This one just goes up your sinuses a little and . . . stops. Still tastes pretty good, otherwise.
Sweetened With: "pure cane sugar"
Verdict: Worth a bottle or two
